Reid-Hillview Airport Lead Crisis

Submit a 30-second petition to County Supervisors

Stop the Reid-Hillview Airport Lead Crisis!

It’s tragic that the Reid-Hillview Airport Airborne Lead Study, released 8/3/21, confirmed what many had suspected. According to the study, children “experience an increase in Blood Lead Levels excess of what the children of Flint experienced during the Flint Water Crisis.” What some had argued was simply speculation has now been proven. It’s unclear how many children have been harmed over the decades. It’s clear we can no longer allow this to continue.

Please submit a 30-second online petition to request that the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors take steps on 8/17/21, when they next meet, to end the lead harm in East San Jose immediately without adding harm to other communities. This should be the first step in transforming this land from providing harm to instead benefitting all.

Your email will automatically be sent to all five county supervisors and their board clerk. The text of your email is listed below the petition form. You will receive a confirmation email.
