Local Control Funding Formula – videos and presenations
Below is a video and three PowerPoint presentations regarding the Local Control Funding Formula.ÂÂ
The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is California’s new formula for funding schools. It is very different from how schools were previously funded, most notably that funding decisions are made locally with community input to the process. In order to be proactive we need to have an understanding of how it works and be aware of how we can have input to insure our schools are serving the needs of our children.
District 5 United, the Alum Rock Educational Foundation and Californians for Justice organized and sponsored a forum to help explain LCFF, how it will be implements, and how accountability for results will be developed. There were presentations from Santa Clara County Office of Education, Public Advocattes and the Education Trust. A video of the forum, as well as the Power Point Presentations, are available below.
