The First Tee Videos

The First Tee of Silicon Valley teaches youth life skills at the Rancho del Pueblo Golf Course in San Jose (among other sites). Approximately 16% of Silicon Valley youth will not graduate high school, but 100% of First Tee participants graduate high school. 1. The September 2012 video below includes a First Tee participant who was recently chosen to become a member of the prestigious Students Rising Above community. This program invests in low-income, first generation college students who have demonstrated a deep commitment to education and strength of character in overcoming tremendous odds of poverty, homelessness, and neglect. The Students Rising Above program assists each chosen student to realize his or her potential by guiding and supporting them through high school and college graduation and into the workforce.
